Thought I had bought a Battery woodcutter from a firm called “Pureluxey”. Price was similar to discount shops like Aldi and Lidl. Item delivered was a short length of fake chainsaw chain with a nylon loop on each end as a handle, worth about $2. Made a claim on PayPal with no luck. Item cost $36, seller will make a full refund if I return the item registered mail costing at least £20 from the UK. PayPal think this is a reasonable deal!! Pureluxey are using photos and video stolen from Stihl who are taking legal action against them.
You need to be persistent with Paypal.
But here is a trick: Send an envelope to the given return address, put in a picture of your item. You just need a track number for your Paypal claim.

I ordered off of a facebook ad that looked legit from keen utility saying 70% off. it took me to keenviponline.shop. I ordered with my chase debit card and got an email conformation. but after writing the actual keen website they told me that they don’t do 70% off. I tried cancelling and contacting customer support at the scam site but with no response. I’ve contacted my bank and they said that they wouldn’t do anything. is their another way to explain it to my bank to get the charge reversed? btw this order was only 2 days ago!
Unfortunately this is still going on – today I ordered merchandise on an Under Armour Outlet Factory Store which was advertised on Facebook. Looking back some Red Flags did appear, but I ignored them. There were no comments on the ad, ( because it was just listed), so I’m out $64. As I read further, Contact and Support – was all bogus, along with misspelled words. I got a receipt for my payment, but no confirmation via email. I did contact my credit card, but the amount of $64 was already posted as pending by Q’Natural in California. I have to wait to dispute it. My account is now blocked am awaiting new card with new account number. There were two other Fake Companies on Facebook( Ariat Boots and Keen Footwear) with the same type pictures and disclaimers – I believe the same person or persons is responsible. Filing a case with the FTC. I’ll see what happens. I am assuming there are a lot of Bogus Companies on Facebook.

I got scammed for a ps4 pro paid with a credit card never received it.
InAHatBuy.com is also this same scammer who operates LucuryBuy.com and advertises through Facebook
I paid for a product from Funnysoul, I didn’t receive my order and when i quired it, I was told it didn’t get sent and I had to pay for postage and admin costs if I wanted a 50% refund of what i originally paid.

http://www.agensonline.com is another huge scam site, they have NO ITEMS TO DELIVER. they only exist to get your credit card.

when you pay via PayPal guest, this is also a common way and adds an air of legitimacy but is NOT covered by PayPal if using guest pay for a scam merchandiser.
Most scammers avoid Paypal since once they get too many complaints they will freeze the account. It makes them also more traceable. But right, Paypal is certainly not foolproof and does not give 100% safety. But a store that is NOT having Paypal does raise a warning flag. Take care that some scam stores have the Paypal logo, but do not offer Paypal.

Not much. You can (no, you SHOULD) file a dispute with your credit card holding bank. Often that works and people do get their money back.

We all want quality items for cheap, but the words quality and cheap dont go in the same conversation unless the word “‘isn’t” is between them.
