Facebook Scam Ad: mcvwe – the all-electric-tilting-bike

Lately it was relatively quiet. Seems like Chinese New Year does reduce scam activities. Here is a reminder that Facebook ad scams still go on!

I saw this ad:

..and it links to this website:

Just by common sense, $79.99 is simply impossible. If you want one expect a few $1000 – you can get one here.

  1. yes I ordered one for my disable son and I live on a disability check myself. They took 89.00 dollars from my account back in Nov. and we received nothing. and every e-mail address and number to supposedly be able to contact them would come up as an error. I’d like my money back or the item. i know u said common sense should have told me something but I was looking at it as something new on the market and I would finally be able to buy my son something that he could get around on and enjoy. I never have extra money for frivolous things but I wanted his Christmas to be nice because he doesn’t have very many left. But instead I got cheated out of my money and scammed out of his Christmas surprise.

    • You need to get pro-active. Nothing will resolve by itself. Yes, you got scammed, that part is clear. You will never get the product, they simply don’t have it.

How did you pay? If you used Paypal > login Paypal.com > find the transaction and file a dispute. I believe you have 180 days for that, so do it now, as in “today“.

If you used credit card, you need to contact your bank and file a dispute for that transaction. There is also a time frame for that, so better do that today.
